Wednesday brought 1" of snow and the boys got the day off. Steve and I went to work as normal.
Friday was our next 'winter storm.' 2 hour delay was announced at 5:12 a.m. Steve left for work at 6:40(when the boys would have normally left for the bus) and the roads were only wet.
Ugh! I want real winter and people who can deal!!

- I am mom to 2 boys (17 and 20), 2 dogs, 3 birds, a gecko, etc. I work full-time and on top of that, I knit like crazy. I have done felting and colorwork but have more recently gotten into stitchwork. Cables, lace, beading, whatever makes it interesting. For my regular projects, lately it's been socks. They are small and portable and offer an endless variety of options. Also, I have large feet so it's hard to find nice socks that fit well. I have also been known to weave baskets, make jewelry, quilt, etc. My favorite color is apparently blue though I like many of the cool colors (bright, bold, as well as pastel). Favorite food (if you can consider it such, would have to be chocolate!

Amen! I so wish the same. I want a REAL snow.
You can have all my snow..really! I'll even deliver it. I do have to shake my head sometimes when I hear that schools and businesses get closed for 1" of snow or less. I remember when I was in high school. The schools hadn't closed in something like 20 years for snow but they closed that year because the superintendent could not get is front door open. I bet we'd have to get at least 12" in one shot before schools would close. Ahhhhh...winter. Bah humbug!
You can also have all of my snow. I can't believe that they called off school for such little accumulation.
